Carry out the operations of the Special Collections and Archives unit of Virginia's largest health sciences library, with responsibilities including cataloging, description of collections, art direction and design, accessioning of medical artifacts, research assistance, and digital project support and direction.

  • Developed and deployed a custom collection management application and database for the library's collection of 7,000+ medical artifacts, based on PHP/MySQL
  • Curated significant physical and digital exhibits on institutional history and history of health sciences for prominent locations on both university campuses
  • Designed and developed new and redesigned web and intranet sites according to VCU style conventions and participated in working groups to improve web standards compliance, accessibility, and semantic markup practices for the library system
  • Created new digital manifestations of 200 medical artifacts, including complete description, photography, and accessioning for the library's institutional repository
